NAINITAL Perched at the height of1938 mts in the Central Himalayas of the Kumaon region lies picturesque Nainital.Its snow-capped peaks, verdant valleys, rolling meadows and crystal lakes have beckoned lovers of nature since ages. The first recorded discovery of this now popular hill station was in 1841 when a Britisher,Mr.Barron,chanced upon the lake.
